Kingston Royals swimmers started the Surrey County Champs 2017 with a bang on Sunday, 29th January. The events that were raced yesterday were the 800m and 1500m Freestyle for County A Swimmers and the 400m Freestyle and 400m Individual Medley for County B Swimmers.
Congratulations to the following swimmers who have won the Victor Ludorum Trophy 2016 for their age group. Points are awarded to the fastest swimmer in each age group for times achieved in each stroke across all Licensed Meets throughout the January-December 2016.
The Club relies heavily on volunteers, and several of our volunteers are standing down after years of supporting the Club. Please do consider getting involved, and if you need further information please contact the current post holder, or any member of the Executive Committee.
Session 3 started with 50m breaststroke. Miles swam slightly slower than his PB, finishing in 16th place. Work on the stroke rate Miles! Josh finished 11th and just missed out on a final by 0.3s. Keep at it Josh as you have had a run of interrupted training yet are still hitting your PB!
The afternoon of 21 Jan started with 50m freestyle. Josh Williams went into this event with no expectations of a final (ranked 26th) and needed a huge PB to get a regional time. Time to try the 'relaxed-but-fast-swim' approach.
