A good start for session 3 at the Cheshire Champs

Session 3 started with 50m breaststroke. Miles swam slightly slower than his PB, finishing in 16th place. Work on the stroke rate Miles! Josh finished 11th and just missed out on a final by 0.3s. Keep at it Josh as you have had a run of interrupted training yet are still hitting your PB!  Next up was 50m backstroke. Chloe just beat her PB and made the final in 6th place-amazing for someone in their first Cheshire County Championships!  Poppy next, achieving a small PB to finish 12th.  Phoebe then booked her place in the final by knocking 0.8s off her PB-well done Phoebe for putting yesterday behind you!

200 freestyle next and huge PBs all round! Chloe, Eleanor and Poppy each took 5s off their PBs finishing 11th, 12th and 6th respectively. Annelies did well to swim close to her PB despite not feeling well.  Madeline beat her PB by 1s to finish 18th and Phoebe beat hers by 4s to finish 11th.  Well done girls.  After a short break, Dan and Ben both achieved PBs in the 200m backstroke despite climbing out and claiming they had bad races. Dan finished 9th and Ben was 15th.

Next came the finals.   Chloe was up first in the 50m backstroke. Slightly slower than the earlier heat but stepping up a place to finish 5th.
Last up Phoebe. Although she was looking tense after yesterday's events, she almost matched her new PB and collected some 'bling', finishing 3rd.  Fantastic!

So, 30 points achieved after 3 sessions which is 16 points more than was achieved in the whole competition last year!
