Hello Friends, As expected, it’s puny this morning. Near flat at Dee Why, actually. Not really surprising, given that the swell is only a metre at 8 seconds from the SE and the tide was a swampy 1.9 metres at 0755.

Hello Friends, At 0600 the swell at sea was 3.5 metres at 12-13 seconds from the SSE and the wind was SW at 11-17 kts. In a few hours the wind will be southerly and the surf options will dwindle to only the most protected locations.

Swell piling in this morning

Hello Friends, A grey start to the day, but as the pictures show, the swell arrived overnight and this morning started with 8-10 kts of westerly wind. The sets are solidly overhead and while it looks kind of raw, there are definitely a few makeable ones in the mix at the point.

Hello Friends, At first glance this morning from the RealSurf HQ crows nest, it looked to be pretty much flat at the point and Kiddies. But up the beach toward the Pole, there was a more distinct line and after awhile a little set appeared (see above).

Hello Friends, Perfect morning to get out there on the mal and chase a few knee high ones. Wind was WSW 10-17kts at 0930, while swell was a touch under a metre from the SE at 9 seconds. Definitely a morning when you won’t get worked by a set.

Hello Friends, A light NW breeze and sunny skies greeted Tuesday morning early risers. Sadly, as the picture shows, we have no real waves to speak of. You might possibly get the odd knee high slide with a mal, but you’ll want to check the more direct south exposures for something short-boardable.

Hello Friends, Grey, windy and small this morning at Dee Why. Wind was 17-24 kts from the NNE at 0700 and the 1.4m swell was coming from the SE at 10 seconds apart. Waves were in the knee to maybe waist plus range along the beach, but it was just too small for the point.
