Funky junky Monday

0 26

Hello Friends,

If you’re super keen there are a few waves around, but the fact that Dee Why point was empty at 0830 pretty much tells you what you need to know. Swell out at sea was 3 metres at 12 seconds from the SSE, but the wind was south 15-20 kts from the get go. I saw some small, clean (and crowded) waves at south Steyne, but that was about it. The wind’s set to stay southerly all day today and it looks like being the same tomorrow, but Wednesday might see it dial back into the light range for the early session when, the Bureau predicts, we should still have some small SE swell on tap. The remainder of the week is not looking too exciting as the swell’s set to fade into the near flat range. The long range models show our next pulse (maybe) arriving around New Year’s Eve…

Have a great Monday everyone!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system centred to the west of Tasmania extends a ridge into New South Wales, while a low lies over the southern Tasman Sea. This pattern is directing fresh to strong southerly winds along the coast. Winds are expected to ease and gradually shift northeasterly on Wednesday and Thursday as the high reaches the Tasman Sea and a trough approaches from the west.
