Waves for Thursday morning

Hello Friends, A few days ago the swell models were predicting 2-3 metres of south swell for Thursday, but this morning sees just on 2 metres at 11 seconds from the SSE. This was translating into waist to maybe chest plus sets at the point.

Hello Friends, Blown pretty much flat this morning. If you were super keen and didn’t mind the wind chill (which must have been in single digits early), there were some waist high sets struggling against the roaring offshores.

Hello Friends, Bright blue skies and a chilly NW breeze to greet a barely-there little 9-second, 1.3 metre SE swell. As the pictures indicate, you could pick up the odd knee to waist high bomb at the better exposures.

Clean with possibilities

Hello Friends, Partly cloudy skies and clean lines as the last Monday of autumn kicks off. Swell at sea was 1.9 metres at 8 seconds from the SSE. I saw what looked to be a solid head high set (pic below) up the beach toward the pole and there were little lines at the point.

Hello Friends, Another beautiful autumn morning along the beaches. Wind was out of the west at a stiffish 11-16 kts and skies were mostly clear. Swell is a mix of 10+ sec NE and dead south which was delivering the occasional chest-ish set to the point at Dee Why.

Hello Friends, There were still a few very occasional SSE chest plus sets in the mix this morning but for the most part the energy was coming from the ENE in the form of a soft, 8-9 second 1+ metre wind swell.

Autumnal waves on Friday morning

Hello Friends, Sunny skies, light westerly wind and a 1.3 m, 14-15 sec SE swell. There’s a little east energy in the mix as well. Set wave faces were into the head high range, but they were mostly shutting down along the beach and only rarely appearing at the point.

Hello Friends, You needed to pick your peak and beach on the dropping tide, but as of 0900 we had sets into the shoulder plus range at the magnets. Tide hits low at 1130 and then is back to a 1.6m high at 1750.

Hello Friends, There were twenty people in the water at Dee Why point before 0800 on Wednesday morning. And for obvious reasons. Wind was coming lightly from the west and out at sea the swell was 1.5 metres from 152° at 13 seconds apart.

Hello Friends, It was shoulder to head plus at SE magnets this morning. Wind was light and from the west for the early, but it should drift around to the E-SE soon. Swell at sea was 2 metres at 13+ seconds from 151°.

Hello Friends, There were a few sunny breaks around earlier this morning and the wind was out of the SW at 4-5 kts, so conditions were nice and smooth. Swell at sea was around 1.6 metres and coming from the SE at 11 seconds apart.
