Windy Wednesday
Hello Friends,
Blown pretty much flat this morning. If you were super keen and didn’t mind the wind chill (which must have been in single digits early), there were some waist high sets struggling against the roaring offshores. One of those days when taking off is like being blinded by a firehose in the face from the stinging spray.
The wind’s set to hammer along at the current intensity into the early session tomorrow. However, it’s set to be SW and around midday the Bureau is currently predicting that it’ll back off while at the same time a 2-3 metre south pulse fills in. Could be good…
Friday should see residual swell, particularly in the morning at places that like NW wind.
Have a good one!
Weather Situation
A deep low and associated cold front over the southeastern Tasman Sea has left strong to gale force westerly flow in its wake. Winds will tend more southwesterly today as a trough moves across southern waters. Winds will ease on Thursday as a high pressure system moves over coastal waters late in the day. Another bout of stronger winds are expected into the weekend as a low moves well south of Tasmania pushing more fronts and troughs across the coast.
