Scrappy surf for Election Day morning

0 322

Hello Friends,

Well, at least it wasn’t raining as the morning kicked off along the beaches on Election Day 2022. As you can see from the pictures, surf conditions were pretty ho-hum. It’s definitely rideable but it looked like the waits were long and the quality was not great even on the better ones.

Early wind was WSW, but the forecast tells us it’ll drift around the the SE before long. Tide was low at 0700 and will be back to high at 1300. We should see a high of 20C and there’s a 100% chance of showers.

Begging your indulgence, I just want to urge Mackellar folk to put Dr Sophie Scamps at Number One. Then I’d number the remainder of your choices with climate in mind. The Greens and TNL’s policies on climate are great because they’re aligned with the latest science and Labor’s ok, if a bit timid. The rightwing parties are uniformly awful on climate action, but I’m putting the LNP last because I don’t want their preferences helping UAP.

Go well, vote wisely for our kids’ climate future and have a top day.
