Hello Friends, Clear skies and 10-13 kts of WNW wind greeted us as Saturday morning dawned. Out at sea what remained of the east swell of the last few days was 0.6 metres at 11 seconds. Tide was high at 0530 and at daybreak was running out to the low at 1120.

Hello Friends, When I grabbed the pics it was about an hour before high tide and the waves had that fat look about them. Plus it’s cogged down since yesterday (at 1010 it was 1.6m @14sec from 163°). Set wave faces along the beach were close enough to head high not to matter.

Big stuff fading away but fun size remains

Hello Friends, The big stuff is gone and we’re back to 1.6m of 12-sec swell from 160° (SSE) which was delivering the occasional chest high set at the point. It was a bit bigger along the beach. Wind was W-WNW in the 7-10 kt range when I grabbed the pics a little after 0900.

Hello Friends, Swell continued its gradual fade overnight but this morning was still seeing reasonably frequent overhead sets at south magnets. It was 2.2 metres at sea as of 1000 and coming from 165° (SSE) at a juicy 14 seconds apart.
