Waves for Thursday morning
Hello Friends,
A few days ago the swell models were predicting 2-3 metres of south swell for Thursday, but this morning sees just on 2 metres at 11 seconds from the SSE. This was translating into waist to maybe chest plus sets at the point. They were infrequent and the beach looked to be mostly shutting down. Tide is coming into the high at 1010.
Skies were partly cloudy and wind was coming from the west at 9-13 kts as of 0800. It was 10C at RealSurf HQ, which means the water is 12C warmer than the air! There’s a small chance of any rain today and we should see a high of 18C later.
Speaking of later, I’m hoping the mighty Goat will be along this afternoon with his usual thoughts on the surf prospects for the coming week. From what I can see it’s not too bad overall, but we might have a couple of rest days too.
I’m off on a little trip inland for a few days. Wi-fi permitting, I may share a snap or two.
Have a good one everybody!
