Hello Friends, Another beautiful morning along the beaches with sunny skies and light offshore breezes. Sadly the waves are barely into the ankle to knee high range. And there doesn’t seem to be any real hope of an improvement in the near term.

Hello Friends, Last day of our little Crescent sojourn and yet again we awoke to cloudless skies, a glassy sea and a faded but still mildly frisky chest to shoulder high eastish swell. The carpark was...

ACHIEVING a happy work-life balance can prove elusive for many of us . . . but not it seems for Jack Johnson. You’ll probably feel a twinge of envy when you consider how the 47-year-old singer from Hawaii, noted for his laidback acoustic vibe, spends his days.

The Goat’s Surf Forecast Surf forecast issued Thursday 23 June 2022: Seven day outlook for Sydney: Waves today. Conditions looked ideal with light winds. But decent rides depended on timing and the banks where you were, with lots of close outs and then fullish tide by the look of it.

Hello Friends, Fun size this morning at Dee Why thanks to a 1.67 m 9-second SE swell. The more easterly direction has made up for the drop in size of the swell. Wind was 7-10 kts from the NW as of 0730.

Hello Friends, A light westerly breeze and a much less energetic ocean greeted early risers this morning. Gone are the long, powerful lines and instead we have our more typical 9-ish second period stuff coming from the SSE.

Hello Friends, The Bureau says the wind will be strong and southerly today, but at first light it was SW and comparatively smooth in south corners. Swell offshore was S-SSE at 3.4 metres with a grunty 15 second period.

Hello Friends, When I grabbed the pics it was about an hour before high tide and the waves had that fat look about them. Plus it’s cogged down since yesterday (at 1010 it was 1.6m @14sec from 163°). Set wave faces along the beach were close enough to head high not to matter.

Hello Friends, The big stuff is gone and we’re back to 1.6m of 12-sec swell from 160° (SSE) which was delivering the occasional chest high set at the point. It was a bit bigger along the beach. Wind was W-WNW in the 7-10 kt range when I grabbed the pics a little after 0900.
