Report: Premier League club brace for offers as Spurs show interest in 21-year-old

The Daily Mail have revealed that Everton expect to receive offers for Jarrad Branthwaite over the next few days, with Tottenham Hotspur and other Premier League clubs expressing an interest in the centre-back.

The report says that Branthwaite has caught the eye of a few top clubs after his brilliant showing in his debut Premier League campaign.

Spurs, Manchester United and Manchester City are all thought to be keen on the 21-year-old as they look to bolster their options at centre-back ahead of the new season.

While The Mail do not mention anything about Tottenham apart from their interest in Branthwaite, they say that the two Manchester clubs are willing to offer more than £50m for the England international.

The outlet states that the Toffees are willing to dig their heels in as they do not want to let their academy graduate leave.

However, there is said to be a recognition at Goodison Park that they might have to cash in on the defender as they need to raise funds to ensure they do not fall foul of PSR once again.

A Tottenham offer for Branthwaite is out of the question, given the centre-backs that Postecoglou now has at his disposal. Spurs would want to sign a cheaper option as fourth choice centre-back and use the bulk of their transfer kitty to strengthen in midfield and upfront.
