EAA to follow up successful Athlete Media Training with two more sessions in May and October

European Aquatics will host two sessions of Athlete Media Training this year, with the first set for 15.00 CEST on May 1 and the second at 15.00 CET on October 28.

These sessions, which will be accessible via the European Aquatics Academy education platform, will follow the successful pilot Media Webinar for Athletes last February (featured above) which attracted 192 attendees, of whom 182 were athletes.

While the sessions are focused on the athletes – covering topics such as social media strategy, personal branding, commentary and interviews in the mixed zone – other interested parties such as coaches and staff are also welcome to join.

A statement on the EAA site reads: “The European Aquatics Athletes Media Training programme supports athletes and aquatics stakeholders in developing the skills needed to communicate confidently with the media and the public.

“Participants learn how to deliver clear messages, handle media interviews, and use social media effectively while representing their sport and European Aquatics.

“The training helps participants strengthen their communication skills, build their personal profile, and promote the values and visibility of aquatic sports.”

Registration for the 2026 Media Training programme session one and session two can be made via the following links:
