The second leg of the European Aquatics Open Water Swimming Cup, due to have been held on August 22 in Munich, has been cancelled due to challenges within the competitive calendar.

Munich is staging the EA Junior Artistic Swimming Championships from June 30 to July 4, and the EA Junior Swimming Championships from July 7 to 12, with both events to be held at the iconic, refurbished venue which hosted competition at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

The EA Open Water Swimming Cup series will thus comprise four legs, opening at Protaras in Cyprus on April 18 and then moving on to Tenero in Switzerland on September 5 and Razanac in Croatia on September 26.

The series will conclude in Barcelona on October 3.
