European Aquatics confirms details of the Swim Safe Europe Annual Conference 2026
European Aquatics has unveiled the schedule and host city for the 2026 edition of the Swim Safe Europe Annual Conference. The two-day gathering will be held in Paris, France, on 7–8 August, alongside the European Aquatics Championships. Designed as a hybrid event, the conference will welcome participants both in person and online. Subject to sufficient online registrations, sessions will be professionally streamed via the European Aquatics Education Digital Platform.
The conference will convene federation executives, researchers, coaches, practitioners and industry stakeholders to address key themes including learn-to-swim strategies, drowning prevention, youth retention in aquatics and the effective application of innovation in teaching and programme delivery.
Day 1 will focus on capacity development and impactful storytelling, while Day 2 will centre on scientific exchange, inter-federation cooperation and partnership initiatives. Highlights will include an Ambassadors’ Panel and an AquaSafe Kids Project roundtable, both aimed at turning research insights into practical, scalable solutions.
Building on the progress of previous Learn to Swim initiatives across Europe, the 2026 Swim Safe Europe Annual Conference will provide an important platform to share expertise, foster collaboration and drive forward efforts to make aquatics safer and more inclusive throughout the continent.
Additional information about the speakers, registrations and location will be announced in the coming months.
