Malmsten renews status as European Aquatics’ Official Sports Equipment Supplier in four-year deal
Malmsten has renewed its longstanding status as European Aquatics’ Official Sports Equipment Supplier. The latest contract runs past the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics to September 2029.
In a statement, the Swedish company announced: “Malmsten is proud to continue supplying Gold PRO® Racing Lanes in swimming events and goals, the field of play, and referee catwalk in water polo events.”
Malmsten’s CEO, Marcus Malmsten commented: “Malmsten is profoundly proud of the long and meaningful journey we have shared with European Aquatics.
“Since my father, Tommy Malmsten, founded the company, we have grown and evolved together with European Aquatics and with the sport itself.
“Our partnership, which began at the European Championships in Jönköping in 1977, has been central to shaping who we are, dedicated to creating dependable, high-performance equipment for athletes and events across Europe.
“It is an honour to continue the legacy that Tommy started, and to carry this collaboration forward as we keep supporting the development and progress of aquatic sports for generations to come.”
The Malmsten statement continued: “With Malmsten’s R&D, Gold PRO® lane lines deliver over 90% of wave energy damping results, helping swimmers perform at their best at all levels of competition as well as during training.
“Likewise, Malmsten’s robust water polo goals, together with wave turbulence control technology of the field of play, create a fair boundary of play for water polo players.
“Malmsten is dedicated and continues to develop its equipment to provide the best possible conditions for athletes to overcome their limits.”
Malmsten has been manufacturing, designing and developing commercial pool equipment since 1974 and most products are still made at their local plants in Sweden.
While being a family-owned and run company, they continue to innovate and are continually committed to providing new and improved technology, designs and materials for aquatics centres around the globe.
Their broad product range includes racing lane lines produced since 1974, equipment for water polo, open water marathon courses and beach water polo.
They also manufacture movable floors, starting blocks and a complete range of pool equipment and supplies for aquatic activities. Malmsten is also a certified Duraflex diving board distributor.
