Lublin 2025 Strategic Coach Development clinic offered Aquatics Denmark insights to 34 attendees
The Strategic Coach Development clinic which took place during last week’s European Aquatics Short Course Swimming Championships Lublin 2025 attracted 34 on-site attendees and three online from almost 20 countries.
Facilitated by Kim Dietrichsen, Head of Coaching at Aquatics Denmark, the course at Lublin’s Hotel Victoria included a dedicated session on how trust, autonomy and a clear coaching framework are shaping the future of Danish swimming.
Attendees were also invited to discover “how aligning what coaches do above the surface – results, planning, leadership – with what drives them below the surface – values, identity and sustainability -strengthens coaching impact and supports long-term professional growth.”
The key points of the course thus included:
* The above–below-the-surface framework in Danish coach development
* How trust and self-determination foster real learning and long-term coaching growth
* Aligning results, values and life sustainability for durable coaching performance
* How autonomy and clarity support the future of Danish swimming
This well-received clinic was interactive, with coaches being encouraged to discuss topics and issues with each other.
The course provided a certificate upon completion.
