Save the date: European Aquatics Social Media Webinar – Wednesday 17 September

European Aquatics is pleased to announce the return of the Social Media and Personal Branding of Athletes | Media Webinar, which will take place on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, from 13:00 to 15:15 (CEST). Following the success of the first edition in February, this second edition will once again focus on the essential role of media and personal branding in today’s competitive sporting landscape.

The webinar will explore why athlete branding matters, highlighting how building an authentic and consistent profile can enhance media visibility, attract sponsorship opportunities, and strengthen team representation. Speakers will also address the importance of maintaining a balance between sporting performance and personal promotion, ensuring credibility and authenticity remain at the core of an athlete’s public image.

A significant part of the session will be dedicated to using social media effectively, with practical guidance on creating standout profiles, managing multiple platforms, leveraging video content, and working collaboratively with national federations, sponsors, and media organisations. Participants will also gain insight into common pitfalls and upcoming trends, helping them navigate an increasingly crowded and competitive digital environment.

Adding a real-world perspective, guest athletes will share their personal experiences of building a profile, managing media requests, and aligning public relations with training and competition commitments. The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with the expert panel.

Speakers include Andreas Georgiou (European Aquatics’ Head of Digital Content), Nick Davies (European Aquatics’ Communications Director), Nick Hope, and guest athletes, all bringing valuable experience and practical advice.
