Britain’s Figueiredo and Evangulov to oversee coaching clinics at European Aquatics Diving Championships in Antalya
Jane Figueiredo, who has guided British divers to global and continental success over the past 12 years, will facilitate at one of two coaching clinics being staged at the European Aquatics Diving Championships starting in Antalya this week.
The second clinic will be overseen by British Diving’s national performance director Alexei Evangulov.
Figueiredo’s coaching facilitated multiple European, world and Olympic medal-winning performances from athletes such as Tom Daley, Matty Lee, Noah Williams, Scarlett Mew Jensen and Yasmin Harper before stepping away from her role in February this year.
She will be in charge of the second clinic on May 22 addressing the topic of “Working with High Performance Divers on technique advances and competition performance.”
The first clinic, on May 21, will see Evangulov facilitating discussion on the subject of “Back and Reverse Twists – rational technique of execution”.
The 90-minute clinics, each with a capacity of 50, are part of series of similar events at a range of competitions being organised by European Aquatics in partnership with World Aquatics.
The initiative was established at last year’s European Aquatics Congress in Belfast.
The European Aquatics Diving Championships Antalya 2025 are taking place from May 22 to 28.
