SCB at Carlisle 2025

The first indoor warm water competition of 2025 proved to be a momentous event as the small yet formidable team traveled down to the Carlisle Masters Meet. Among the highlights, Audrey Copper made a remarkable return to competitive swimming after a hiatus due to injury, setting three British records in the 200m Individual Medley, the 800m Freestyle (as a split), and the 1500m Freestyle. Audrey’s performance was nothing short of spectacular, taking nearly 50 seconds off the 200m IM record and slashing over six minutes off the Scottish records in the 1500m Freestyle.
In addition to Audrey’s stunning achievements, Kevin added to the team’s accolades by breaking the Scottish record in the 50m backstroke.
The team’s medal tally was impressive:
Karen: 6 Gold, Devin: 3 Gold, Audrey: 2 Gold, Carly: 3 Gold & 2 Silver, Kevin: 2 Gold & 3 Silver, David: 2 Gold & 2 Silver.
Despite Colin’s unfortunate withdrawal due to medical reasons, he still made the journey to Carlisle and joined the team in celebrating his first visit to Nando’s, contributing to the camaraderie and spirit of the team.
The Carlisle Masters Meet of 2025 will be remembered not only for the records shattered and the medals won but also for the fun moments shared by the team.
