ANTHONY JOSHUA has dipped into the pool to race legendary Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

The two-time heavyweight champion posted a video on Instagram of him meeting the 23-time gold medallist.

After a brief discussion about swimming technique, they both then hit the pool and raced off.

Joshua captioned the video: “I swam in the deep end since I started this business.”

And British Olympic champion swimmer Adam Peaty hilariously responded to the clip with a little pointer for AJ.

He simply replied to the post saying: “Better dive you’d have him.”

The video appeared to be part of an Under Armour advert as the pair are both brand ambassadors for the company.

It was filmed in the US but Joshua has swiftly jetted off to Dubai as he continues to visit various places around the world following his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

The 32-year-old Brit lost by unanimous decision to the Ukrainian at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September.

And it looked as if he was nailed on for the rematch before hinting that he could be up for taking a step aside fee in order to allow Usyk face Tyson Fury for the undisputed crown.

He said: “In terms of stepping aside, I don’t know if that goes in line with what a morally stand for… but I want to be known as one of the smartest businessmen as well.

“I want to make the smart decisions and if the money is right we would have to look at it but respect has more value than money.

“Will I take the step-aside money? If its a smart business move… will it affect my reputation and respect?

“Will I still get to fight the best fighters? Those are the three things I have to consider.”

However, AJ has already issued a warning to his promoter Eddie Hearn, insisting it is not worth a step aside offer being put to him if it is not substantial.

And an undisputed fight may be put on the back burner anyway if Fury decides to take care of his mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.

Whyte, 33, was finally ordered as Fury’s WBC mandatory on Tuesday as he looks set to earn his long-awaited title shot.

Fury has been typically vocal about the prospect of facing former pal Whyte.

Before Whyte was ordered by the WBC, the Gypsy King vowed to ‘smash the c***’s face in‘ and ‘butcher him, no problem’ if Whyte was called as mandatory.
