Adam Peaty’s girlfriend hopes he’s partnered with Strictly’s fittest female pro as she wants him to win
THE girlfriend of Olympic swimming champ Adam Peaty hopes he is partnered with one of the fittest female pro dancers on Strictly because she wants him to win.
Eiri Munro, 23, who gave birth to their son George almost a year ago, wants to see him paired with a competitive dancer such as Katya Jones or Oti Mabuse, who have both won the contest before.
And she is not bothered by past pairings on the show falling for each other.
A source said: “Eiri isn’t at all worried about the famous curse of Strictly. All she cares about is Adam maintaining their winning streak.
“She is supportive and wants him paired with the fittest dancer who will put him through his paces and spend hours training him.
“He has great showmanship, but she is worried he doesn’t have much dancing experience and she wants him to get far in the competition.”
Speaking at last week’s GQ Men Of The Year Awards, Adam, 26, who attended the event with Eiri, admitted he was still like a fish out of water.
He said: “I don’t know any dance moves yet and it’s two weeks away. So it’s going to be fun but we’ll see.”
Contestants also include ex-rugby player Ugo Monye, former Corrie star Katie McGlynn and BBC presenter Dan Walker.
