Guildford City Pilots Racing X

We are pleased to announce that Guildford City Swimming Club has been invited to support the development of a new and exciting competition programme in partnership with Swim England. The competition pilot is designed to establish the most effective way of providing competition for all swimmers in a Covid-19 safe environment.

Our selection for this pilot has been possible due to the hard work of our entire club. We thank parents for their support and swimmers for adhering to the new guidelines that our staff have worked tirelessly on over the past few months.

Being part of this pilot will allow our swimmers to get back to the enjoyment and enthusiasm of competing while also providing that extra motivation in training.

Below we have outlined when the competitions will take place. We obviously strongly encourage swimmers to attend these sessions and to enjoy being able to compete once again.

Regrettably at this time we will be unable to facilitate spectators. However, all results will be published on the new Swim England Licence X rankings system.

Sessions at Surrey Sports Park will run as follows:

Surrey Sports Park 6th October Senior CDS 7pm – 9pm
7th October
Masters 6am – 8am
NPS & BUCS 2pm – 4pm
NPS & NYS 6pm – 8pm
County A & Regional Squad 6pm – 8pm

Spectrum Sessions will run as follows:
Venue Date Squad Time
Spectrum Leisure Centre 5th October County B/C 6.30pm – 8.30pm
10th October Junior County A & County C 7am – 9am
*Due to the composition of Junior County B they will not take part at this stage. However, we hope to include them in the future events.

Coaches will be working hard to ensure that the competitions are a Covid-19 safe environment and we really appreciate parent support with the current club guidelines.
