[Swimming] Swimming opens up 2018-19 season with LWC Fall Frenzy Invitational

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson men and women's swim teams open their 2018-19 season hosting the 5th annual LWC Fall Frenzy Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Bob and Doris Holloway Center Natatorium.

The Blue Raiders will be joined by fellow NAIA institutions Bethel (Tenn.), Campbellsville (Ky.), Lindenwood – Bellville (Ill.) and Milligan (Tenn.).

The women's swim team returns nine swimmers including three NAIA All- Americans Jessica Macdonald, Bailey Seitz, and Emily Wood. Junior Jessica MacDonald finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.42 at the NAIA National Championship. Senior Emily Wood returns after finishing ninth overall in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 18:12.78.

The women's swim team set a new program best with a 4th place finish at NAIA National Championship last season. They surpassed the 2016-17 season fifth place finish.
