New swimming star Titmus on her ‘amazing’ Comm Games

April 10, 2018. Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus, outside the Gold Coat Aquatic Centre, says she dreamt of competing at the Commonwealth Games but never really thought it would happen and to come away with three gold medals is really amazing. Titmus says she was the most nervous she’s ever been before the night’s 400m freestyle final with the expectations she and her coach put on herself. The 17-year-old says her Commonwealth Games has been amazing and it’s really exciting to be brought into the Australian swimming team at a time "when the team culture is really strong”.
