How to watch Tottenham vs Crystal Palace: Kick-off time, TV channel and team news

0 18

Tottenham Hotspur are back under the lights this week, and with the pressure mounting at the bottom end of the table, the visit of Crystal Palace suddenly carries far more weight than anyone inside N17 would have anticipated a few months ago. Here’s how to watch the clash between Tottenham and Palace on Thursday.

Tottenham Hotspur failed to take advantage of dropped points elsewhere last weekend as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Fulham.

That result leaves Igor Tudor’s men firmly in the relegation battle, sitting 16th and four points clear of 18th-place West Ham United.

Up next in the Premier League is a clash with fellow strugglers Crystal Palace, making victory absolutely crucial.

Spurs and Crystal Palace team news ahead of London derby Premier League clash

Tottenham are without several key figures for the London derby. Cristian Romero is suspended, while Djed Spence is doubtful with a calf issue.

Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall, Rodrigo Bentancur, Mohammed Kudus and Wilson Odobert are all sidelined through injury.

Crystal Palace also have concerns, with Maxence Lacroix suspended. Cheick Oumar Doucoure, Jefferson Lerma, Edward Nketiah and Jean-Philippe Mateta are unavailable due to injury.

Tottenham must rediscover cutting edge against Palace

So far during his tenure, Tudor has not outperformed Thomas Frank, with the new Tottenham boss instead replicating the former Spurs manager’s results.

Frank lost 4-1 to Arsenal and 2-1 to Fulham during his time in the Spurs dugout, and thus far Tudor has recorded identical results in the return fixtures.

However, the former Brentford manager did manage a 1-0 victory against Palace in December, which remains the last time Spurs won a competitive league game; given Tudor’s knack for mirroring Frank’s outcomes, it could be that Tottenham end their winless run this week.

Score prediction: Spurs 2-0 Crystal Palace
