NBC Reveals 4 Red Sox Games On ‘Sunday Night Baseball’ Schedule
The Boston Red Sox will receive plenty of primetime exposure in 2026.
NBC revealed its broadcasting schedule for the upcoming MLB season on Friday. The network assumes the “Sunday Night Baseball” rights from ESPN, and the lineup reveals a different approach.
ESPN leaned heavily on Red Sox vs. Yankees games, but NBC will televise just one matchup between the bitter American League East rivals on June 28. NBC will feature Boston four times on “Sunday Night Baseball,” each against a different opponent.
The Red Sox will first appear on NBC when hosting the Texas Rangers on June 14. They’ll play the Yankees two weeks later at Fenway Park before going on the road to face the Los Angeles Dodgers on Aug. 2.
NBC will illuminate another marquee interleague matchup when the Red Sox face Rafael Devers and the San Francisco Giants on Aug. 23. That game starts at 3 p.m. ET.
Peacock will also stream a Red Sox game against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, July 5, at 9:30 p.m. ET.
The Red Sox match the Dodgers, Giants and San Diego Padres with four “Sunday Night Baseball” appearances. The Yankees are among the teams with three primetime assignments.
Boston went 89-73 before losing to the Yankees in the AL Wild Card Series. Although the Red Sox have yet to sign a major-league free agent, they’ve bolstered their roster by acquiring Willson Contreras, Sonny Gray and Johan Oviedo.
The Red Sox begin their 2026 regular season against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, March 26.
