“Levy Out” chants continue amongst Spurs fans

The last seven days have been less than ideal for Tottenham Hotspur fans, as they have witnessed their club crash out of both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

The cup exit for the club has significantly reduced the chances of the Lilywhites ending their trophy drought that has lasted for more than a decade.

Injuries have been a contributing factor to the club’s recent decline, as more than eleven first-team players were absent in the Cup games against Liverpool and Aston Villa respectively.

Tottenham fans have since voiced out their frustrations in games prior, chanting for the club’s chairman Daniel Levy, to leave the club.

These chants were in full swing in the game against Everton, where fans chanted, “We want Levy out”, this was closely followed by chants about fans caring more about winger Kulusevski rather than the club’s chairman Daniel Levy.

The away end sang, “I do not care about Levy, he does not care about me, all I care about is Kulusevski.” This protest comes despite Levy’s efforts in the winter market, where he signed three players to help with the club’s current injury crisis.

According to a poster shared online this week, protestors are determined not to attempt to organise anything that impacts the support for the players during the game, which is why they want to stage a sit-in after the final whistle.

The poster states as relayed by The Telegraph: “No matter the result, applaud the players as they leave the pitch. Show them our appreciation for their efforts.

“Once the players have left the pitch, remain in the stadium and gather in the South Stand lower for a sit-in protest. From there, we will make it clear to the board – who will hear us from their luxury lounge – that enough is enough.”
