Patriots Hint At Number Change For Jacoby Brissett
Jacoby Brissett's time in No. 14 did not last very long.
The New England Patriots seemingly hinted that a number change was on the horizon for the veteran Wednesday, sharing a picture of him from his rookie season in which he wore No. 7.
JuJu Smith-Schuster previously wore No. 7, but left it up for grabs when he was released on Aug. 9.
Brissett has been fairly consistent when it comes to selecting numbers, rocking No. 7 with the Patriots, Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns. He wore No. 14 with the Miami Dolphins in 2021 and No. 12 with the Washington Commanders in 2023.
Patriots rookie Joe Milton III, who wore No. 7 collegiately, told reporters last week that a veteran would have the first crack at claiming the freshly available digits.
