Quartet from Bay Area boosts Stanford’s top-25 recruiting class

0 9

Stanford hasn’t always loaded up on Bay Area football recruits. The 2019 crop, however, includes four players who didn’t require a plane trip to scout.

The four have been texting up a storm to each other and to others among the 20 who will be announced Wednesday on the first day of the early signing period.

Stanford’s Bay Area contingent consists of:

•Tristan Sinclair, an inside linebacker from San Ramon Valley-Danville, who grew up going to Cardinal games. “It was always a dream school for me since I was a little kid.” His dad, Andy, was an offensive lineman on the Farm in the 1980s.

•Joshua Pakola, a defensive end from St. Francis-Mountain View. Stanford was his dream school as a kid, too. “It’s 20 minutes from home,” he said.
