Logan Gilbert will be spearheading the effort, fresh off his 7.2 inning effort in Toronto last week. So far this year he’s been trying out a new cutter, and he’s found some both early success and pitfalls with it. ZAM has you covered with the details.
Lineup wise, it’s a bit of an interesting one, as Luke Raley is getting the start at first base, giving Ty France the day off. Otherwise, its a similar lineup to the one that put 9 runs on the board last night. We’ll see if they have the same momentum in tonight’s game.
On the Reds side of things, Santiago Espinal is taking over at third base for Jeimer Candelario, who has come down with an illness. Espinal has had a slow start to the year, with just 4 hits in his last 10 games.
