Stan Javier robs a home run

Don't have time to really do it justice as I'm frantically rigging for a 10 day river trip but had to make sure the craziest catch I've seen live gets a mention. The second game I attended at Safeco field was a day game against the Padres in the late 90s. We usually sat somewhere in the bleachers but for whatever reason my dad and I ended up right next to the right field foul pole behind backup right fielder Stan Javier. At some point late in the Mariners' win one of the Padres launched what looked to be the closest home run I've ever been near. Instead, Javier leapt up to bat the ball back onto the field and basket caught it was he was falling onto his back. Easily the best catch I've seen live.
