[Volleyball] Bearcats come up short again

The Lady Bearcats start out on day two of the Panther Invite with a first set win over Kentucky State University 25-14. KSU would fight back and take the second set 27-25.  Brescia would respond with a close set win of their own to take the third set. 25-21. In a back and forth battle the Lady Bearcats were trying to put away KSU, but the Thorobreds were not ready to concede. Brescia would allow KSU to take the set 27-25.

Now the Bearcats needed to refocus to try and win the fifth set. With a convincing led at the side switch of 8-2, it looked like Brescia would secure its 7th win of the season.  But, again KSU would put together another run and take the led 10-9. The run was too much for the Lady Bearcats to handle and KSU would win the fifth set 16-14.

The Lady Bearcats are now 6-5 with four of their five loses being in five sets. Next up for Brescia will be the Panthers of KWC. First serve is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
