[Baseball] Gilbody - MSC Player of the Year
The postseason accolades started rolling in Wednesday evening for Georgetown College's baseball team. Early afternoon the Tigers (42-11) jumped from 17th in the country to 13th, then in the evening it was Mid-South Conference awards banquet.
Chris Gilbody became the first GC baseball player to earn MSC Player of the Year since Martin Lemus picked it up in 2014. In 50 games this year, he hit .346 with .462 slugging percentage. He had 33 RBI and 25 runs scored. The graduate student finished with 18 multi-hit games with 40 games of at least one-hit.
