Asian Weightlifting C'ships in India postponed due to Middle East conflict
The Asian Weightlifting Championships in Ahmedabad have been postponed from April 1–10 to May 12–17, 2026 due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia. The Asian Weightlifting Federation said the change was made to ensure safe travel and participation for all teams, as airspace disruptions in parts of the Middle East and Gulf region have affected international flights.
