Happy Birthday Marcus Stephen!
The President of the Oceania Weightlifting Federation, Marcus Stephen turned 50 today!
Mr Stephen was a fire starter in Oceania weightlifting when he was identified as a talented young athlete at the age of 16. Winning 7 Gold Medals and five Silver Medals at the Commonwealth Games, he became a true role model for the Continent and for the small islands. He put Nauru on the map and made the IOC aware of its existence.
In addition to an unprecedented weightlifting carrier, he made his country proud by leading it as President and still representing it in the United Nations.
Marcus Stephen holds the Presidential position for OWF since 2008.
