LI holds all three World Records
Two Chinese and a Russian formed trio rivalized in the heaviest women’s bodyweight category, the +87kg, for the first place and finally, LI Wenwen (CHN) came out victorious.
The Snatch World Record holder performed one kilogram under her best, 147kg, but took away both the Clean and Jerk and Total records from Russian KASHIRINA Tatiana, who earned 3 Silver Medals this time. KASHIRINA, who competed in eight World Championships is now the owner of 24 worlds medals.
In the Clean and Jerk, LI finished at 186kg and improved the World Record with 1kg, to 332kg. All three Bronze Medals of this bodyweight category went tot he 2016 Olympic Champion, Chinese MENG Suping.
