European Aquatics leadership received at the Serbian Presidential Palace

The European Aquatics President Antonio Silva and Vice President Vania Udovičić were received at the Presidential Palace by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, together with the Minister of Sports, Zoran Gajić. During the meeting, the EA leadership expressed sincere gratitude for Serbia’s continued support—not only for the organization of the European Water Polo Championships Belgrade 2026, but also for the European Aquatics Championships 2024 and for the many joint initiatives aimed at developing sport, and aquatics in particular, in Serbia and across Europe.

Later, during the official reception held in honor of the Serbian men’s water polo team, winners of the European Water Polo Championships Belgrade 2026 which concluded on January 26, President Silva addressed the audience. In his remarks, he publicly thanked the Government of Serbia and President Vučić for the outstanding organization of the event, also extending appreciation to the Serbian Water Polo Federation, its President Viktor Jelenić, and Secretary General Nemanja Marijan.
