2025 National Open Water Swimming Championships

Swim Ireland is delighted to announce that it will be hosting its National Open Water Swimming Championships in Lough Lene on Saturday the 9th of August 2025.

The event will include the National 10km and 5km Championships, with the inclusion of 1.5km and 3km distances for younger age groups. This forms part of the new open water pathway development programme, as we endeavour to grow the competitive opportunities for our open water swimmers.

Don’t want to swim the National Championships, don’t worry we have you covered. We will also be running a 1500 and 3000 metre event for anyone who wants to get out and take part in the Swim Ireland National Open Water Series.
