The Dublin Docklands Cups are BACK!

0 5

NAC Masters and Swim Ireland are delighted to announce the return of the Original Dublin Docklands Cups race to its traditional home on the Lower Liffey on the evening of the 18th of July 2025.

This summer evening race traces its history back nearly a quarter of a century and began as a cooperation between the Dublin Docklands Development Authority, Dublin City Council and NAC Masters with the aim of bringing competitive swimming to the newly re-developed Dublin docklands.

Race Times

Female Race – 18:30

Male Race – 19:30

Check in from 5.30pm

It has become a very popular swim amongst the open water club community with hundreds of swimmers taking part each year and is now a part of the exciting Swim Ireland National Open Water series.

The race takes place from the Custom House Quay beside the Sean O’Casey bridge and gives swimmers unique views of the Samuel Beckett bridge, the Jeanie Johnston and westward over the river Liffey itself as it travels through Dublin City.

This year is especially exciting as the Custom House Quay is now the home of the newly built Dublin Docklands Municipal Water Sport Centre. This wonderful, purpose-built centre, will enable a new era for water sports in the lower Liffey and we are delighted that it will be the base for NAC Masters Docklands Cup Races, bringing open water racing to the heart of the Dublin Docklands.

We look for to welcoming clubs and swimmers on Friday 18th July.

Registration is open now – NAC Dublin Docklands Cups – Tickets

Our special thanks to Dublin City Council, Dublin Port, and Docklands Water Sports Centre managers (Swan Leisure) for their help and support.
