European Aquatics partners with EPAM to launch a new digital asset management system
European Aquatics is pleased to announce an expansion to its commercial partnership with EPAM, a global leader in digital engineering, cloud and AI-enabled transformation services.
European Aquatics has adopted EPAM’s modern digital asset management (DAM) platform, transforming the way media is handled across the organization and its affiliated national federations.
This is a key milestone in the Digital Transformation of European Aquatics, as laid out in the 2024-2030 Strategic Plan.
Built for scale, speed, and simplicity, EPAM’s DAM Platform will manage, enrich, and distribute vast amounts of media content — all in real time. This marks a key milestone in the digital evolution of European Aquatics’ media operations and sets a new benchmark for the aquatic sports community.
European Aquatics will utilize EPAM’s Digital Asset Management Platform to streamline the entire content lifecycle — from automatic camera uploads at live events to instant AI-enrichment and distribution to internal teams and external partners. This seamless flow dramatically reduces the time from capture to publication, allowing stakeholders to access ready-to-use, searchable content within seconds.
“EPAM’s technology will be crucial in supporting our efforts to use digital solutions to enhance both our events and year-round activities, a key goal of our Strategic Plan. I’d like to thank EPAM for their great collaboration with our teams to bring this project to life,” said President Antonio Silva.
Beyond real-time distribution, the solution transforms European Aquatics’ media asset library into a future-ready, searchable digital archive. Historical photos and videos will now be unified, automatically enriched with AI metadata, and made easily discoverable for reuse, storytelling, and brand consistency.
“We are thrilled to partner with European Aquatics and our unified focus on digital transformation will amplify engaging, athlete-centric experiences for fans and stakeholders alike,” said Balazs Magyar, Senior Director, Account Management at EPAM.
Key Platform capabilities include:
· AI-powered metadata generation for fast, accurate, and consistent tagging
· Structured taxonomy to organize both current and historical image and video assets
· Smart asset linking to contextualize content and surface related materials
· Automated ingestion from event sources to minimize manual effort and maximize speed
· Secure cloud-based storage and access controls to ensure scalability and data protection
This centralized, intuitive system will improve operational efficiency, strengthen collaboration, and ensure fast, high-quality delivery of visual materials to audiences and partners worldwide and the initiative aligns with European Aquatics’ strategic vision of using digital transformation to enhance sport promotion and storytelling.
As aquatic sports enters a new era of digital enablement, the collaboration between EPAM and European Aquatics highlights how AI-driven solutions can unlock the full value of media content — past, present, and future.
