Swim Ireland is the National Governing Body (NGB) for Swimming, Water Polo, Diving and associated Aquatic Disciplines on the island of Ireland. Swim Ireland’s Head Office is based at Irish Sport HQ, National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 with circa 60 employees. Swim Ireland’s remit as a Governing Body is to increase participation, run the competitive aspect of our sport and to provide a framework for regulation. 2025 is an incredibly exciting time for Swim Ireland as we embark on a period of significant expansion. We are thrilled to be making preparation for integrating Para Swimming and dedicating more resources to support our Clubs. Following the launch of the National Swimming Strategy in late 2024, which emphasises the deployment of local Swimming Activators to actively promote and develop swimming opportunities, we are creating numerous new roles within Participation. This includes local swimming activators and other exciting positions within DEIB and Programme Development that will help us achieve our mission.
Additionally, we are expanding our operations with both the Pop-Up Pools and our fixed pool location in Sean MacDermott Street, providing even more opportunities for communities to engage in swimming activities.
As a result of this expansion, we are currently recruiting for an HR & Finance Administrator to join our dynamic team.

Role and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the HR Manager with a dotted line to the Finance Director, the HR & Finance Administrator will have a focus on providing administrative support to the HR, Operations & Corporate team. The HR & Finance Administrator will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating various operational and HR functions. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Areas of Responsibility
HR Administration
- Assist the HR Manager in recruitment processes, including posting job vacancies, screening applications and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HR system.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Address enquiries related to HR policies/procedures.
- Assist in organising company events, meetings and training sessions.
Finance and Payroll Administration
- Prepare accurate and timely payroll files for processing and liaise with payroll provider.
- Prepare pension reports as required and liaise with pension provider.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of payroll-related documents and adherence to legal reporting and revenue requirements.
- Provide support to relevant employees regarding payroll-related questions and concerns.
- Support both accounts payable and receivable with tasks including, but not limited to, preparing sales invoices in conjunction with pools programming of schools and community groups, chasing debtors, purchase invoicing approvals, supplier statement reconciliations etc.

- Office Management
- Engage with other Swim Ireland departments
- Provide office and administrative support to the Finance Director and HR Manager as required.
Education and Experience
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Relevant qualification or working towards one eg IPASS, IATI, CIPD
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Essential Requirements
- Be eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.
- Excellent working knowledge of IT and software packages including MSOffice, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Full, clean driving license and access to vehicle.

Remuneration and Location
- The package will include a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience to commence at circa €24,000 per annum for 25 hours per week .
- Position Tenure: 3 year fixed-term part-time contract.
- Position Location: Swim Ireland Head Office, Irish Sport HQ, Sport Ireland Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 – a level of hybrid work is permitted depending on the needs of the business.
