Swim Ireland Launch 2025 Open Water Programmes
Swim Ireland are excited to announce the launch of our highly anticipated Open Water Programmes for 2025. Over 350 courses will be delivered across the island aimed at swimmers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned open water swimmers, offering an opportunity to engage with Ireland’s beautiful outdoor swimming environments. Whether you’re looking to improve your technique, build endurance, or simply enjoy the thrill of open water swimming, Swim Ireland and Swim Ulster have created a series of dynamic and inclusive sessions for everyone.
The 2025 Open Water Programmes will take place across Ireland’s stunning coastlines, lakes, and rivers, and will be led by a team of highly experienced coaches and lifeguards. Participants will benefit from tailored training, safety education, and the support of a community of like-minded swimmers. Through our vision of ‘An island of swimmers’ Swim Ireland are committed to ensuring that everyone has the skills and confidence to swim safely in the outdoors.
In alignment with the National Swimming Strategy, these programmes are part of Swim Ireland’s broader commitment to increasing participation in swimming across Ireland and developing open water swimming. The strategy aims to ensure that more people across the country have the opportunity to swim safely and confidently in outdoor environments, supporting physical health and mental wellbeing.
