Zac Efron was taken to a hospital on Aug 2 after being involved in a "minor swimming incident" while at a villa in Ibiza, Spain, a representative for the actor told TMZ.

The actor was pulled out of the water by two people working at the villa, TMZ reported, citing unnamed sources with direct knowledge of the incident.

The representative for the 36-year-old actor told the outlet that Efron was taken to the hospital as a "precautionary measure."

He is now said to be "fine," the report said.

Representatives for Efron did not respond to a request for comment from Business Insider, which was sent outside regular working hours.

Efron recently arrived in Europe to support Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The "Iron Claw" actor also attended a star-studded pre-Olympics party at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

The actor later shared an Instagram Story of himself smiling under an umbrella as he posed in front of Paris's Seine River.

He also shared an Instagram Story congratulating Simone Biles on becoming the oldest US women's gymnast to win an Olympic gold.

Efron shared an Instagram Story showing himself by Paris's Seine last week.

Efron attended Martin Garrix's concert in Ibiza on August 1, the day before the pool incident.

Fan footage shared on X showed that the DJ brought Efron onto the stage at one point in his set.
