[Women's Swimming] Women's Swimming in Twelfth Place After Day Two of NAIA Championships
COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team wrapped up day two of the NAIA National Championships on Thursday evening. The Blue Raiders upped their point total to 40 but slipped two spots to 12th place in the overall standings.
Alejandra Martinez and Natascha Evrinoff began the morning session in the 500-yard freestyle, turning in times of 5:30.20 and 5:32.65, respectively. Then, in the 200-yard individual medley, Allie Rutherford highlighted the trio of Lindsey Wilson entries with a personal-best mark of 2:12.03. Azalia Gabdrakipova (2:14.25) and Jordyn Minifie (2:15.90) also competed for the locals in the day's second event.
