March club night entries are open!

Woden Sharks it’s time for another club night FRIDAY 26 March 2021.
4.30pm warm up racing commences 5pm with an approximate 6.30pm finish.
Same drill as last time – entries are to be completed on Swim Central.  Entries are now open and will close Wednesday 24 March at 8pm.  Follow the link. Max of 4 races per swimmer.

For our registered swimmers missing the 8pm cut off requesting manual entry there is a bag of snakes FINE or maybe check starter duty at the next club night , so don’t miss the deadline!!

including;

Full name of swimmer, age on 26/3/21, and the races you wish to enter (max of 4). Please also include a mobile contact number if we need to clarify details.

As usual this club night will be run short course, meaning there is a 100IM event. The 200m event for this club night is the 200m backstroke. Order of other events appears in the swim central meet link. Any swimmer entering a 25m event should not enter a longer distance in the same stroke in this meet. While we haven’t enforced break times for the 25m events, any swimmer who has beaten or is approaching 30 seconds for any stroke should consider giving the 50m event a go in a fun and supportive environment.

Club Nights are so important to prepare our swimmers for upcoming swim meets but that cannot happen without the help of parents and carers.  On the night we have 8 lanes and we will require 2 time-keepers on every lane so 16 time-keepers in total.  If we don’t have 2 time-keepers per lane the club night can go ahead but the children will not be able to receive official times (recorded times in Swim Central that can be used to enter Meets).  It’s a commitment from the Committee, our officials, our laptop/scoreboard guru and Parents/Carers.  If you have no time keeping experience that’s ok we will pair you with a buddy that does have experience. Remember that the time-keepers get the best view in the house, so give it a go!

We’ve invited Telopea, Burley-Griffin and Cruiz along to join the fun. There will be no club night in April so try and make this one if you can! Cannot wait to see you all.
