[IWU] Wildcats in the NAIA Polls
MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan University features eight teams ranked in NAIA Top-25 Coaches’ Polls. Men’s and women’s cross country moved up in their postseason polls following highly successful runs at the national championships. Men’s Basketball continues to be ranked No. 1 while women’s swimming remains in the top-10.
Men’s Cross Country – No. 2
Indiana Wesleyan capped the best season in program history with a runner-up finish at the NAIA National Championship. Accordingly, IWU wraps up the season as the No. 2 ranked team in the Postseason Poll.

Women’s Cross Country – No. 14
The Wildcats eared their highest ranking of the season at No. 14 in the Postseason Poll. IWU entered the NAIA National Championship ranked No. 20 and wrapped up an excellent year with a 14th place finish in the national meet.

Men’s Basketball – No. 1
The defending national champions are the top team in NAIA Division II. Indiana Wesleyan chimes in with an 11-2 record and are 3-1 in Crossroads League play. IWU travels to No. 23 Spring Arbor (Mich.) on Saturday for their final league contest prior to Christmas Break.

Women’s Basketball – No. 21
IWU is No. 21 in NAIA Division II with a 9-4 overall record and an unblemished 4-0 mark in the Crossroads League. The Wildcats have won four consecutive games and close out the pre-Christmas portion of the league schedule on Saturday at Spring Arbor.

Women’s Swimming – No. 8
The Wildcats rank No. 8 in the November 15 edition of the national poll. The second year program travels to UIndy next weekend in their last meet before January.

Baseball – Receiving votes
Indiana Wesleyan received votes in the NAIA Coaches’ Top-25 Preseason Poll. IWU is the only Crossroads League team to be recognized in the early season ranking. The Wildcats open the season with a four-game weekend series vs. St. Xavier (Ill.) on February 8-9.

Men’s Golf – Receiving votes
The Wildcats received votes in the November 9 poll, the final national ranking of the fall season. The first poll of the spring is scheduled for release on March 8.
