Watford swimming Club appoints new Head Coach Adam Parfitt

0
After 3 years at the helm Kelvin Jones our Head Coach is taking some time away from Coaching to spend more time with his young family. Under Kelvins leadership with the support of our great Coaching team, the Club has really moved forward, with improved results at Counties, Regional and Nationals year on year. I would like to thank him for all his hard work over this period.

Watford swimming Club is now in a great place to continue to drive our performance and ensure all our swimmers reach their full potential whatever their ambitions.

I am delighted to announce that following our recruitment process we have been able to secure the services of Adam Parfitt as our new Head Coach.
A former competitive swimmer, Adam has a degree in Sports Coaching and Physical Education. In 2011 he was one of the founding coaches behind Bournemouth Collegiate School, one of the leading performance swimming programmes in the South West. He has coached swimmers to Regional and National medals including 2016 Paralympic Gold Medallist and World record holder Alice Tai MBE.
Adam Parfitt commenting on his appointment said
“I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Head Coach for Watford Swimming Club. The Club has seen impressive progression across all ages and abilities in the past few years. It is my aim that the club continue this trend of growth and development and establish themselves as one of the leading swimming programmes in the UK. I have been particularly impressed by the swimmers and coaching at the junior end of the club, showing great potential for the future. I believe there has never been a more exciting time to be a swimmer, parent or coach at Watford Swimming Club. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the previous Head Coach, Kelvin Jones, for his dedication to the club over the past few years, leaving us with a great foundation to build on. “
