Champions League: What Liverpool, Chelsea, Man United, Man City, Tottenham and Celtic need to do to qualify for knockout stages

Matchday five and the business end of the Champions League group stage approaches. 

The likes of Manchester City and Tottenham are already through but can’t put their feet up just yet, while the remaining English teams all have opportunities to secure their spots in the knockout stages. 

But what does every team need to do going into the penultimate round of games? Here is a breakdown of every English team and Celtic’s current situation. 

Chelsea

Things were going swimmingly for the Blues after two games, but they did not have it all their own way in back-to-back contests against Roma. Antonio Conte’s men drew at Stamford Bridge before succumbing to a 3-0 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.
