Grey and blowy Saturday
Hello Friends,
The southerly settled in just after midnight and as of 0600 it was pushing along from the SSE at 20-25 kts. Swell at sea was dead south and 2.6 metres at 8 seconds. Not that it matters, but the tide was filling in as it heads to a 1.74 m high at 0915. Weather was heavily overcast with occasional showers. Sydney surfers were rolling over and going back to sleep.
The good news is that by tomorrow the wind should be light for the early and the skies are expected to be partly cloudy. With any luck we’ll have a combo fading small south swell and some ambient east wind swell for the early session. The coming week looks pretty quiet surfwise, but with luck there will be waist high things to mess around in for the morning sessions.
Weather Situation
A cold front and trough associated with the low will bring a gusty southerly change to coastal waters today. Winds will ease and tend northeasterly over the southern and central coastal waters from Sunday onwards as a high pressure system drifts across the coastal waters.
