The Goat’s Surf Forecast
Surf forecast issued Thursday 7 May 2026: Seven day outlook for Sydney
TG optimistically left the house to check the surf in shorts and a T shirt, but was back in a flash to change into jeans and a puffer jacket, scarf and grab his teddy for comfort. He overdoes everything. But the first whiff of Winter and he didn’t like it!
In fairness the reported temperature was 17, but the apparent temp was 8.. a bit of a contrast to yesterday’s milder clime…. And the W/WSW wind is dragging cold air up from Antarctica.. which will be followed by some swell. The swell will.initially have a lot of SW in it, meaning it’ll mostly be headed offshore, but it might start to show tomorrow at places open to dead South.
Friday: starting to come up at dead South places, possibly 2 ish metres
Saturday: ditto, maybe bigger sets
Sunday: easing back a bit into the 1-2 metre range dead South, with sets
Monday: up again around 2ish metres from South East… getting into more places
Tuesday: down again into the 1-2 metre range South East
Wednesday: around 2 ish metres South East
Thursday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range dead South.
Stay warm. Know your own limitations. Have Fun!
